Zenia Starr is an upcoming actress, who has acted in
a movie earlier, “Backyard Ashes”, and is all set to take her career on a
roller coaster with two other films ,“My Cornerstone” and “Love you Krishna”. Starr is a Sydney based model cum actor and
former Miss India Australia, 2013.
The new comer could not have found a better
opportunity than Stanley Joseph's “My Cornerstone” ,which is yet to be released
in April, 2014. The movie is expected to be a great release at the Australian
box office and for new comers like Zenia Starr; a huge hit like this would be
the best way to kick start a filming career. The 23 year old actor cum model is
about to begin her journey in the film industry with Stanley Joseph's "My
cornerstone" and "Love you Krishna". However, Starr has worked
in "Backyard Ashes" earlier, but the yet to be launched Stanley's
movies will be the main highlights of Starr’s career.
The most talked about movie “My Cornerstone” is a
production of Stanley Joseph wherein the story takes a toll on the
discrimination an Indian has to undergo in Australia even today. The movie is
based on the life of an Indian nurse (played by Zenia Starr) who moves to
Australia and gets employment in an Indian-Australian family (the Pintos) to
take care of an elderly lady. The rest of the story revolves around Starr’s
experiences at the household of Pintos and the discovery that the roots of
racism are still going strong in Australia. The movie also casts other famous
actors like James Morcan and Romin Khan.
Another fact that makes this movie all the more
interesting and a huge beginning for Zenia Starr’s acting career is that the
two movies, “My Cornerstone” and “Love you Krishna”, were shot within 37 days,
simultaneously. The same crew had been the part of both the movies and the
plots of these movies are more or less the same. Both of them are based on
social prejudices and discriminations that still exist in the Australian
culture.
With the choice of movies like these two, Zenia
Starr has made a clear statement about her kind of cinema and has defined her
career with selective yet impactful choices that she'll make all through her
career. For now, Zenia Starr is looking forward to the two big releases and
expecting them to be a huge success.
