Inc. (SPE)
is an American Film production unit, a subsidiary of the Japan based technology
and media conglomerate “Sony Corporations”. Sony Pictures Entertainment is
based in California, United States and is the main headquarter that governs the
film production all over the globe in its different branches.
On December 21, 1987, Sony
Pictures Entertainment was founded and initially it was named as “Columbia
Pictures Entertainment Inc.”. After 4 years, on August 7, 1991, it was renamed
to “Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.”.
Through these years, Sony
entertainment has produced films and television shows worldwide. The area
served by Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. is
not limited to any particular country or any specific film city, but it has
extended worldwide and thus, Sony Entertainment is one of the leading
production houses in the world. The most famous productions of Sony
Pictures Entertainment Inc. are,
“Men in Black, Spider-Man, Residents Evil, Underworld, etc.” Apart from films, Sony Pictures also undertakes other
operations such as Animations, Music, Family Entertainment, Consumer Products,

make. Chairman and CEO of the company, Mr. Michael Lynton, is considered to be
one of the most powerful and influential personalities of the world. On 21
November, 2013, he announced that Sony Pictures Entertainment
will focus more on television shows rather than films. Another important
declaration was that that there will be no sequels of “Spider-Man” series from
now.

of them are, “TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, FEARnet, Steward Tele Enterprises”
and many more.
The most recent news about Sony
Pictures Entertainment Inc. is that the owner of Rovio Entertainment, those who
created the famous “Angry Birds”, approached Sony Pictures Imageworks to
produce a movie on Angry Birds. Also,
Sony Pictures is about to launch its worldwide website, “SonyPictures.net”,
which is a centralized portal for all the nations.

Entertainment Inc. has served globally and gave a lot of entertainment to their
audience. The list of the holdings and subsidiaries of Sony Corporation is never
ending and the officials are taking all possible steps to make this company
