The Immortality Of Bruce Lee



Bruce Lee was an American born martial artist, actor, film maker and instructor. His origins were from Hong Kong as his parents belonged to that place. He is widely considered as the most influential and talented martial artist and instructor. Born in 1941, Lee died at a very young age of 32 in the year 1973. Though, in his short life, Lee earned substantial fame and stardom. 

Lee was trained in Wu Tai Chi Chuan and Jing Mo Tam Tui for the twelve sets. Lee was also trained in the martial arts Choy Li Fut, Western Boxing, Épée fencing, Judo, Praying Mantis kung fu, Hsing-I, and Jujitsu. From a young age of 18, Lee started teaching martial arts in the US, where he moved for pursuing his higher studies. After a few years, Lee began his career in the film industry. 

He gave action blockbusters like, “The Big Boss (1971)”, “Fist of Fury (1972)”, “Way of the Dragon (1972)”, directed and written by Lee; “Enter the Dragon (1973)” and “The Game of Death (1973)”.
Bruce Lee wanted to change the way of portraying Asians in the Hollywood films. As a result, Lee gave a whole new definition to action films in the east as well as in the west. Lee is famous for his martial arts and his bold performances in the cinematic world. Apart from films, Bruce Lee was also active on television where he played in the series like, “The Green Hornet (1966), Batman, Ironside (1969), Blondie, Here Come the Brides, Longstreet, and Enjoy Yourself Tonight”.

 Bruce Lee died on 20 July, 1973 at the age of 32. Even after many years of his death, there were distinct claims about the mystery of his death. Some said that it was due to an allergic reaction of a painkiller that Lee took to shun away his headache. But the real cause came out to be the swelling in his brain and the consequent collapse of his nervous system.

In the loving memory of this hero, an organization called “The Bruce Lee Foundation” has been formed that aims at enriching people’s lives and breaking barriers through the proliferation of Bruce Lee’s legacy. It also has a museum called, “Bruce Lee’s Action Museum”, that showcases various belongings of Lee. 

Bruce Lee’s inspiring life and his zeal to live it to the fullest is worth remembering. To quote it in his words, “If you truly love life, don’t waste time; that is what life is made of”.
