J.R.R. Tolkien
is one of the most reputed writers who is said to be born in the city of
Bloemfontein in South Africa. He spent most of his life in the famous Oxford
place in England. His writings have turned into some of the most wanted
box-office hit films in Hollywood. Tolkein is known for the fantasy fiction and
he was the only writer in his period to start with such a different genre. His
fiction stories are ready as the bedtime stories for many children all around
the world. His most wanted book, that was filmed in Hollywood, is the Lord of
the Rings that was critically acclaimed by many people all around the world.
The imaginary universe, which he created in his stories, is very apart from
ordinary writers.
Tolkien was one among
the great scholars of Anglo-Saxon and on the Norse languages. He was known as a
philogist, critic and a translator. He did work as a translator for the book
named Jerusalem Bible. His research works on the origin of words from the
Oxford Dictionary made him turn world famous. Many people tried to become the
next Tolkien, yet, they were a failure and Tolkien is irreplaceable. His
fictional works have transformed into films by many Hollywood filmmakers in the
recent days. The Lord of the Rings has smashed the box-office all around the
world and it got good revenue for the producers of the film. Many filmmakers
have taken him as their inspiration and they do adopt some of his books into
film language.
Tolkien always
encourages good talent. The whole series of the film ‘Lord of the Rings’ was
written by him and the latest film named The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey
that got released in the year 2012 was well appreciated by many critics. The
next part of the Lord of the Rings series is in post-production and one can
witness the film in the year 2014. He has also written many novels that were
later on converted into television serials by famous directors. His short
stories are also being adopted by upcoming filmmakers and they have done many
short films on his stories.
Tolkien’s works are simply irreplaceable and we do
not think anyone can ever reach such heights where he is today.
