The “Chuck Norris” Way!!



Carlos Ray Norris, often referred to as “Chuck Norris”, was born in Oklahoma, United States on 10 March, 1940. The 73 year old is an actor and martial artist who formerly served in the United States Air Force. He is currently a columnist at World Net Daily. Chuck has done numerous films and television series over the years, mostly action, and is still going strong. Norris began his acting career in the year 1968 and currently is named with most prestigious action stars. Norris is a trained martial artist; a brown belt in Brazilian Jitu-Jitsu.

A devout Christian, Norris is also the author of books based on Christianity, like “The Justice Riders”. Norris has never been too indulged in the media and has always preferred to be conservative and silent about his personal life. Norris made his career start with the film “The Wrecking Crew”, which was released in the year 1969. Later in 1970, when his brother died, Norris dedicated a movie in the loving memory of his deceased brother; the movie was called, “Missing in Action”.

He got substantial fame in the year 1972, when Chuck Norris acted in “Way of the Dragon” as the nemesis of Bruce Lee. This can be called as the breakthrough of his career in the Hollywood. After that, Norris appeared in various films that proved to be blockbusters at the box office. These include; “Breaker! Breaker! (1977)”, “Good Guys Wear Black (1978)”, “The Octagon (1980)”, “An eye for an eye (1981)”, and many more. 

Chuck Norris also appeared in various television series, most of which were produced by his brother Aaron. These include, “Walker” and “Texas Ranger”. Over the next few years, Norris became a star and appeared in eight big banner films, including “Firewalker”, “Code of Silence”, etc.

The 73 year old martial artist founded a school in the year 1990 that teaches martial arts like judo, karate, and tang soo do, named “Chun Kuk Do”. It is a Korean school based in the USA. Each year, a Chun Kuk do Tournament is held by United Fighting Arts Federation.

As regards his personal life, Chuck Norris has lived in two marriages, one of them failed after 30 years of commitment. Norris has 5 children, out of which one of his daughter, Dina, is the result of an extramarital affair. He did not even meet her until she was 26. Norris has 9 grandchildren.
