Muhammad Ali is
definitely the best and the most flamboyant boxer in this world and a good
political leader who stood up for peace in many ways. People know Muhammad Ali
as a generous man who has contributed a lot to the needy people through his
charity works. He has contributed a huge amount out of his earnings to the
charity works, and this has made him more popular all around the world.
Muhammad Ali stood apart from others in his athletic career and he did have the
passion to turn into an actor. His passion towards film came out by working in
many documentaries during his past days in the boxing ring. Muhammad Ali was
featured in the Oscar award-winning documentary named as ‘When We Were Kings’.
This was released in the year 1996.
Ali acted in many
feature films and he has a decent filmography that can portray his acting
skills in the film industry. His acting career started with "Requiem for a
Heavyweight" that was released in the year 1962. This movie was one of the
most memorable and the most appreciated sports drams during those days and the
main lead role was carried by Muhammad Ali. Until 1971, Ali came
up with many documentaries that had his boxing career as the main theme in it.
Ali's feature film acting started in the year 1972 with the movie named
"Black Rodeo". The movie boasted about Muhammad Ali in many ways and
it was one critically acclaimed movie in those days. Ali the Fighter, The
Greatest, and Freedom Road are some of the notable movies that highlighted the
boxing talents of Muhammad Ali to people all around the world. Muhammad Ali was
featured as himself in all his movies and people did love him appear as himself
on the screen. The movie named as Fidel, that released in the year 2002, was
the most controversial movies in which Muhammad Ali has acted in.
All the movies he has
acted in focused on the portions of his life. Some were made in a fictionalized
form while others in a documentary style. His facial expressions, physical
style and speech pattern was very impressive and all these movies will always
remind us as to how great this boxer and actor was.
