Stanley Joseph is an Indian born musician cum
director cum producer. Born in a middle class family in India, Stanley grew up
to be inspired by music due to the reason that his father was a musician. In
fact, Stanley started his melodic journey at a very young age of 5. In
Bangalore, India, Stanley learnt playing guitar and started his own rock band
called, “Millennium”.
Currently, the producer cum director is based in
Sydney, Australia. Stanley has always had a very unique and extraordinary vision
towards art, be it film making or music. Stanley found it an amazing medium to
communicate with people through the art of film making, hence the musician
entered into the film industry as a producer and director.
Not much was known about Stanley Joseph until his
first movie “Newton’s third law” came into news that was being shot in the year
2010. However, it is yet to be released. After that, Stanley made a short movie
named, “What goes around comes around” that sent a clear message to the film
industry about his vision and mission.
Recently, Stanley is a hot topic in the
entertainment media due to his two big launches later this year, “My
Cornerstone” and “Love you Krishna”. The unique thing about these two movies is
that both of them were shot simultaneously within a short period of 37 days
using the same cast and crew and in two different countries, Australia and
India. The two movies are based on the same plot more or less and these
indicate the social prejudices and adversities that are still prevalent in the
Australian culture.
With this huge achievement, Stanley is considered as
a major threat by other directors in the industry. A lot of fame has been given
to his name due to this record breaking accomplishment. Prior to this, only
Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” was the only movie whose three prequels
were shot at the same time. However, Stanley Joseph has broken his record and
set a new world record for everyone to look up to.
Stanley’s movie, co-written by James Morcan, “My
Cornerstone” will be released in April this year and is already the highlight
of newspapers due to its unique formation story. Based on the experiences of an
Indian nurse serving in an Indian-Australian household, the story will touch
the audience at a much deeper and personal level.
