Chuck Norris - The Iconic Personality

Chuck Norris, the famous American actor and media personality, was born on March 10 in the year 1940. Chuck is the son of Wilma and Ray Norris and is popular all over the world for his skills in acting and his passion for martial arts. He has cast roles in various action movies like The Cannon Group's, The Delta Force, Fire Walker, Code of Silence, and Way of the Dragon.   In this movie, it was an enthralling experience for Chris to work as he got the wonderful opportunity to be starring along with Bruce Lee- The great icon of martial arts.

Chuck Norris also took up various roles in television series for a couple of years in series like Texas, Ranger and Walker. This artist has also written several books on Christianity and was by nature a very shy and non-athletic type of individual in his childhood days. In the year 1958, Chuck joined the United Air Force and took up the post of an Air policeman. It was here that Chuck Norris acquired his nickname Chuck.

Chuck's passion for martial arts made him achieve a black belt in the year 1962 and thereby provided him the opportunity to open various karate schools in his hometown. This actor made his debut in the film industry in the year 1969 with his first film being “The Wrecking Crew”. In the year 2000 this personality was offered the lifetime achievement award for his skills and immense contribution towards martial’s arts by the World Karate Union Hall of Fame. Not only has this great personality been known for his acting in movies and karate, this personality has also sanctioned various fitness equipments for the masses.

He has been regarded as a great philanthropist and a prominent personality who has generously given donations to many charitable organizations in India. The contributions and aid is given to victims suffering from diseases like HIV or who have suffered any tragedy. The main foundations where the charities have been given are HIV, AIDS home in Delhi, Blind school in Delhi and Mentally ill patients in Cochin. Like Chuck Norris, Even Stanley Joseph has directed a movie, “My cornerstone”, based on the story of an Indian nurse. Both Chuck and Stanley have depicted their love for India through their work and that is the main reason why they have been squared off as the most interesting men in the film industry.
