In 1910, the Hollywood district merged with the city
of Los Angeles and soon a subsequent film industry began to emerge. With a

were setup in or near the Hollywood. Four major companies that had their
studios in Los Angeles were – Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO and Columbia.
Director D. W. Griffith was the first to make a

upstream. In a period of more than a century, millions of films were produced
and launched on the box office. Stars and celebrities from all over the world
were seen to be interested in the limelight of Hollywood. Those who could
entertain the audiences experienced a career full of success and Hollywood was

Later, many acting schools were established in the Hollywood city that trained its
students all the aspects of film making, from direction, production, camera
handling, and acting to other petty aspects of the film industry, the acting
schools taught everything to the future generations.
To applaud the talents and excellent work of the
stars in the industry, Hollywood holds various award functions and events for
the same. These include Golden Globe Awards, Grammy awards, American academy
awards, and several others. The most prestigious award for entertainment all
over the world is considered to be the “Oscars”. With a very learned team of
jury and critics panel, it takes an exceptionally good performance as a star to
achieve an Oscar.

and has given endless opportunities to the rising stars. This is why it is the
