Enchanting Wordsmiths Of Australia

Australia is globally famous for many reasons, but another thing which always left behind the curtains is that its amazing storytellers whose contributions in Australian as well as international films is unarguable. It is true that Australia not only produces some of the finest directors and singers we have ever seen, but also gave birth to some enchanting writers who with their entertaining stories amazed us again and again. Be it a love story or a thriller or a crime plot, these screenwriters showed their efficiency in all the genres of entertainment story writing and that helped the films to achieve success in not only in Australian or the US market but globally as a whole. Some of the best writers of Australia are

Richard Lane – popularly known as the father of Australian radio and drama, Richard Lane is like the father figure to all the Australian screen writers. He is not only a skillful adopter and writer of beautiful stories for films and theatre, but is also one of the founders of Australian Writers Guild. He got his first major award for his story ‘You Can’t See 'Round Corners’. Other creations of this maestro that enthralled the audience and spectators are Bellbird, Homicide, The Sullivans and Carson's Law.

Michael Petroni – he is some of the few writers whose directorial also amused the audience in the same way as his stories as well. This Australian writer and director started his career as a comedy writer, but after a few years he took an interest and started writing in other genres as well with success. The films based on his stories, which shot to fame, are Till Human Voices Wake Us (2002), The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (2002),Queen of the Damned (2002),Possession (2009), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), The Rite (2011), and The Book Thief (2013).

Robert Scott Hicks – this Uganda born Australian writer and director is one of them who for his creations got nominated for academy awards and won Emmy awards for quite a few times.  This flinders university graduate directed several memorable films like Fallen (2014), The Lucky One (2012), The Boys Are Back (2009), Glass: A Portrait of Philip in Twelve Parts (2007), No Reservations (2007), I'm Only Looking –(2004),  Hearts in Atlantis (2001) and so on. Some of his writings are Snow Falling on Cedars (1999), Shine (1996), The Space Shuttle (1994), Submarines: Sharks of Steel (1993), Call Me Mr. Brown (1990), Sebastian and the Sparrow (1988).

Nicholas Edward Cave – though this ARIA Hall of Fame singer first started his career as a singer and song writer, but later he introduced himself in front of the global film audiences as one of the beautiful entertainment writer Australia has ever produced. His efficiency in writing thrillers is now known to all. His some of his best creations included The Proposition (2004) and Lawless (2012).
Another writer, director and producer who has acclaimed fame for his beautiful script writing is Stanley Joseph. The founder of WPA, Stanley made his mark with his upcoming film My Cornerstone, a unique and great saga of an eternal love story.
