Michael Idato, a Senior Writer for The Sydney Morning Herald, is a renowned Australian critic for television shows and movies as well. He is a juror at International Emmy Awards since 2003 and has been serving as a writer since 1990.

As quoted by media time and again, Michael is an exceptionally talented writer who has been inspiring and informing the world for a long time now. Michael has been playing various crucial roles in the Australian television and film industry; either by hosting television shows and award functions or by being an Australian movie critic.

Studied at Waverly College, Michael is associated with several major newspapers where he worked as a writer and columnist. He worked at The Daily Telegraph and at The Sunday Telegraph between 1995 and 1999. Known for his excellent writing and insight into the television screen, Michael also served as a film critic for Australianfilm industry between 1992 and 1996. He also owned a television show with co-host Doug Anderson where they talked about the running television shows on the silver screen.

Michael has been associated as the critic of a few Australian films and his opinions were deeply valued. Michael was being contacted at the time of publication of this article so he can be sent a copy of 'My cornerstone' for a review. ‘My Cornerstone" is a latest movie by Stanley Joseph, which focuses on social prejudices and the differences still existent between the east and the west. With a view to publish an honest opinion about this exceptional film, Michael was asked to write about the film as a critic.

The movie is yet to be released in April this year. However, the motive of the director cum producer Stanley Joseph was to reach the audience through Michael Idato’s review on the film. “My Cornerstone” is one such movie that is based on a different theme than all the others that are existent in the industry these days. The idea of the film came from Stanley’s different take on the cinema and hence, the script was written keeping the same in mind. Co-writer of the script, James Morcan also acted in the film.

Michael Idato’s views about the movie will prove to be really important for the audience as well as for the film makers. This is why Stanley contacted Michael to give his valuable opinion for the upcoming film.
